Joe McEntee Joe McEntee
Development editor, Technology Tracking

Joe has been a science/technology journalist at Institute of Physics Publishing for 13 years. As development editor, he is responsible for the planning and co-ordination of the sales, marketing and editorial activities on the Technology Tracking programme. Joe is also the editor of FibreSystems Europe, a monthly magazine focusing on optical communications technologies. Prior to this, Joe was deputy editor of Opto & Laser Europe and production editor of Physics World. Joe holds a BSc Hons in chemistry from the University of Leeds, UK, and an MSc in instrumentation and analytical science from the University of Manchester, UK.

Susan Curtis Susan Curtis
Editor, Technology Tracking

Susan has been a science/technology journalist at Institute of Physics Publishing for the last nine years. As editor of Technology Tracking, she is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive publishing programme covering high-growth emerging technology sectors. Susan began her journalistic career as production editor of Physics World, later becoming the magazine's features editor. Since 1997, Susan has held senior editorial positions across a number of technology magazines, including Vacuum Solutions, Broadband Access Europe and FibreSystems Europe. Susan holds a BSc Hons in physics from the University of Surrey, UK.

Christopher Pickering Christopher Pickering
Co-ordinator of Collaborative Projects, Optronics Centre, QinetiQ

Christopher Pickering co-ordinates the Technology Tracking programme at QinetiQ. He has worked at the QinetiQ site at Malvern since 1975 and has more than 25 years' experience in the optical characterization of semiconductors, recently focusing on process control of semiconductors and MEMS. He received his BSc from Nottingham University, his MSc from University of London and his PhD from the University of Surrey in 1976. He has published more than 100 scientific papers, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and a QinetiQ Fellow. Over the last five years he has led European research projects, and he is currently in charge of the Europractice Manufacturing Cluster INTEGRAM.
